What is Kadi (Kenyan poker)?
Kadi is a Kenyan card game, also called Kenyan poker, played with a standard 52-card deck. Two to ten players race to empty their hands, and before you can play your final card you have to declare "Niko Kadi", Swahili for "I have Kadi".
How a game of Kadi plays
- Match the top card of the discard pile by suit or value.
- Question cards (8 and Q) need an Answer of the same suit on the same turn.
- Jacks skip the next player, Kings reverse the direction of play, and 2s, 3s and Jokers are penalties.
- Aces are wild. Play one on any card and name the suit that follows.
